From the moment we arrived, everything moved smoothly and efficiently. We got there about an hour and a half before my surgery and expected a lot of waiting around, but that was not the case. There was always something happening as the staff prepared me for surgery.
Once it was time, things continued to move quickly. I remember the nurse placing the oxygen mask on me, taking a few deep breaths, and then waking up in the recovery room.
The doctor spoke with us afterward, explained how the surgery went, reviewed what I needed to do over the next few days, and answered all of our questions. Before long, a wheelchair was brought over, and I was on my way home.
Everything went very well, and I appreciated receiving a follow-up call from the nurse the next morning to see how I was doing.
